Diversity
When I created this piece, I focused on the word diversity and its extreme depth. All these animals exist together in their community harmoniously. Everyone represents a different part that plays a much deeper role than what meets the eye, but neither is more important than the other. I want to express how this piece can reflect on the world we live in and how we could improve to be more like the sea animals seen here.
My Process
First I started by drawing each element. Then moved on to details and layering. Next, I focused on sizing and organizing. Finally, I added textures to each element because I thought it was looking too playful and I wanted a more serious look.
